Greece - June 2013!)

Hi!

We are baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Week of heaven! SUN! SAND! SEA!
3 BIG S!))))

Here comes the story:

Corfu!

waiting for our car...

We had a hotel on the east side of Corfu.
http://www.marbella.gr

We had a family suite... very nice one with a garden:

With hello letters, fruits and wine)... niiice)...
In one letter my surname changed completely))
Never saw this variant before)) Very German one!

The hotel was huge, with different rooms, 3 pools, 3 restaurants, tennis, private beach.
I knew that Greece is one of the favourite places for Russian to have vacation, but OMG,
Our hotel had about 75-80% of them! And they are loud, they put things on beach chairs and gone for hours, put iphone music at loud in the bar, just because they like ti and not that one which already in bar - some nice jazz (we asked to switch it off) etc... And i understood everything and i didn't want to hear all of that...

Once we moved such a busy chair away and when a russian lady came and started to complain in Russian i kept silence and L. just asked in English: what? i don't understand!I am sorry!))...
so, she couldn't say a word in english and gave up.... But they really think that everybody have to understand them! NO WAY!

The sea is great! Mostly rocks...
We went around the island, went to CORFU city...
They have almost 1 really nice renovated street and inside it is different...

L. tried fish pielling)), said it was quite good):

They live on tourism, i liked jewerly, olive soap, some dishes from olive wood...

LOOOts of birds)...constance noise)...

Then we went to Achillion, it was a summer house of Isabel (Sisi) from Austria, now it is museum...:

The other day we went to the monastery on the top of the mountain (the highest place at Corfu).
The road was turny again...

In the middle of monastery they put the electricity tower, just because it is a highest place... pity...

From that place we could see an old village - it is emplty already for 100 years.
It would be my dream to go there and look around, you can imagine what was each building or who lived there...great!

BUT between this monastery and another road after mountains there an old, rustic road... where you can go only by Jeep... and we had WV polo...((... but we tried that road for a kilometer...
then the road to the village came and it was even worse... we would had to walk and it was already evening... unlucky we had to refuse this idea... oooohhhhh!!! i ve been dreaming about it!!!*(

But we decided to drive further on that rustic road.. and first it ok... we jumped at 20 km per hour, but ok... then it became very rocky... and i started to be afraid that we break the wheels or gas tank...

Sometimes i went in front and helped L. to direct the car.
And it was too late to turn back...
We really thought that we would stay here for night and started to imaging the scenario when a couple go travelling and then they found a abandened village and stayed there for a night in a car cause it was too late to drive further and then...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... several scary variants)))..

but in hour and a half we managed finally to get to the right normal road with minimum damages (thanks to german car))))...here is one of it...

And then we read in the hotel that in those places they do Jeep safari... well we did a personal one))...

On 5th day we went to main land of Greece to Parga (town)... by ship...
Parga feels like an island as teher are many bays and it is very green..

The hotel there was absolutely different concept, it was more private family one with bungalos and loooong beach...

Had dinner in the village, big portions, really tasty:

There is a fortress left from Venezians... but there is almost nothing done inside and it falls apart(... there is only a cafe...

The we had a romantic late evening at the beach, with moon, wine, swimming ... and bites of insects(((...

Next day we were lazy: sun, food... sea...

There was a family - grannies and grand children... naked most of the time..
I think you should do that in a special beaches... right?

We also went to Olive oil factory' museum to see how they did it before progress))

Bought some olive oil and soap))

Then we had to return back to Corfu Island, to the same hotel for one night before flight, and we thougth that we will get very little room for 1 night, but it was amazing Panorama Room... better is only President rooms one floor higher...

We had dinner on the big private balcony, then bath))..

So, i am still immpressed)) and it was generally greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat!
Next time if I go to Greece if will be Santorini and Mykonus)...
